Who Cares? The Economics of Caregiving

A White Paper

The final report of the October 30th Symposium, “Who Cares? The Economics of Caregiving,” was released on Friday, February 12, 2016. You may download your copy here.

caregiving reportThis Report has been approved by the Symposium Host organizations and the Board of the Bucks County Women’s Advocacy Coalition. We are developing a strategic plan for the implementation of the Report, and are in the process of forming three subcommittees (Legislative, General Public, and Employers), which will be charged with putting the meat on the bones of the ideas expressed at the Symposium. Several of the attendees indicated an interest in staying involved, for which we are most appreciative.

If you would like to be involved going forward, please email Donna Byrne, convenor, at info@bcwac.org and provide your name, email address and indicate on which subcommittee you might like to serve.

Pennsylvania has a great opportunity now to move ahead with promoting awareness and dialogue for action to address the un- and under-reported financial burdens of family caregiving. It is our hope that this Report offers the framework for that action.
